Is Hollywood waiting for a car invasion?
A relentless wave of remakes, sequels and reboots make it clear that Hollywood is facing a major script crisis. It is possible that in the near future computer scriptwriters will come to the rescue of the heads of the leading film companies of the Dream Factory.Attempts to create artificial intelligence with a craving for writing have been made for quite some time. Until recently, the writing of AI-writers was a jumble of words, but now there is some progress in this area. OpenAI has created a literary genius, codenamed GPT-2. As an AI test, it was proposed to come up with a continuation of a short story based on The Lord of the Rings, the main characters of which were the dwarf Gimli and the elf Legolas. GPT-2 not only produced a completely meaningful text, but analyzed information from the Internet and introduced such famous characters of the fantasy saga J.R.R. into the narrative.
