Wonder Mercenary Returns
It is not the first year that Universal Pictures has been going to transfer to the big screens the graphic novel Cowboy Ninja Viking ("Cowboy, ninja, viking"). Several years ago, Chris Pratt agreed to play the main role in the project, but since then not a word has been heard about the tape, and Pratt himself honed his skills in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the Jurassic World franchise. According to the Variety portal, the adaptation of the comic book finally has a chance: the leadership of the major invited Michelle McLaren to lead the filming of the film.The events of the original graphic novel, first published in 2009, revolve around a mercenary named Duncan, one of the members of the secret unit of the triplets. Each of them suffers from multiple personality disorder, and Duncan is the strongest of the whole group, as he gets along with a cowboy, ninja and viking. However, after the work on the program ends in failure, the main character is tasked with tracking down the remaining triplets, who have turned into hired killers. Michelle McLaren has extensive experience in television. In the track record of the owner of two "Emmy" there are such hits as "Breaking Bad", "Walking Dead", "The X-Files" and many others. McLaren's debut in a big movie was supposed to be "Wonder Woman", but the director did not agree with the Warner Bros. studio.  The original script for the project was written by Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese ("Deadpool"), and the last draft is by Craig Mazin ("Bachelor Party 2: Vegas to Bangkok"). The release of the film is scheduled for June 28, 2019, and since Pratt completed filming for the next "Avengers", he will have time to transform into a dangerous mercenary before the end of this year.
