Mel Gibson's next directorial project will focus on yet another dead culture - the Viking culture, Variety claims. The movie is supposed to be a cross between Braveheart and the Apocalypse. But the most interesting thing is that the main role in it will be played by Leonardo DiCaprio, who is a well-known lover of everything Scandinavian in Hollywood. The plot of the movie is still being kept under wraps. Filming for the unnamed movie is due to begin in autumn 2010. The movie does not have a distributor yet, but this is a common occurrence for Gibson's projects. The tape will be created by GK Films and Icon Prods studios.
