Igor Petrenko will become the new USAn Sherlock Holmes
Igor Petrenko has been confirmed for the role of Sherlock Holmes in a new television series dedicated to the famous detective, which will be movieed by Central Partnership. This is reported by Izvestia. The role of Dr. Watson went to Andrei Panin. The movieing of the series, which was called the most expensive in the history of USA television, was supposed to begin several years ago, but this was prevented by the financial crisis. Now, apparently, all the problems have been left behind, and already in September 2011 the creators of the TV project will work in St. Petersburg, Tsarskoe Selo, Vyborg and Kronstadt. Andrey Kavun has been appointed as the director. The new Sherlock Holmes will consist of 16 episodes, the first of which viewers will be able to see at the end of the year.
