Review of the movie Welcome to Zombieland. Correct survival

Civilization is dead. We did not even have time to gasp, as the planet was filled with crowds of nimble dead, devouring living flesh. Among the few survivors – a cumbersome young virgin with a bunch of phobias, who almost never got out of his house before the epidemic and survived by not deviating from the rules of survival in the zombie world that he himself had developed. This guy is on air in the new long-awaited movie about frisky zombies, and he tells us: "Welcome to Zombieland"!

This low-budget horror-comedy about the living carrion, in which the tough guy – a thunderstorm of zombies is looking for sweet Twinkies everywhere, and young girls waving shotguns, movieed with a drive and excitement, rare for such movies. Built on following the Rules of Survival and extracting tons of banter from this, "Zombieland" on exit is doomed to cult status, imitation and popular love. No one expected that the director Ruben Fleischer, who actually made his debut in the movie with this picture, would say a new word in the never-ending zombie genre, and that this word would be “Stop jingling eggs!”.

"Welcome to Zombieland" is a funny and cheerful movie all over the screen. Having introduced us to the squishy Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) and his Rules of Survival in Zombieland, dictated by the harsh reality, the movie sets a cynically humorous tone with a scene of a virgin meeting a cart with a cool macho man in a jeep armed to the teeth - and then from the chosen tone never gets lost. While "Zombieland" lasts, a lot of zombies will be slammed (sometimes in the most unexpected way) – but the final scene of the carnage in an amusement park near Los Angeles will simply be included in the annals of cinema history in the categories "Bloody Frenzy" and "Wild Rzhach".

The nature of the movie is a bit like the hellish action "Shoot Them", where Clive Owen killed with a carrot, and Monica Bellucci lived in a tank. However, "Zobiland" does not overdo it with black humor – in the movie there is a place for ordinary reflections of the heroes about what is happening, besides, he is not at all afraid to be lyrical from time to time (although, having burst into tears, the hero wipes himself off with a pack of dollars with cute spontaneity).

In short, in this zombie comedy absolutely everything is correct, including casting. In principle, there are not many living people in the movie, but the main on-screen pair is – Jesse Eisenberg and Woody Harrelson – sets a rarely correct (even for a "crowded" movie) contrast between a frail teenager and a cool "I-hate-zombie" action movie who smashes them right and left.

Closer to the middle, Bill Murray appears in a hilarious cameo, and from the moment of his appearance it becomes finally clear that "Zombieland" is pure uncomplicated movie happiness with all the necessary components. At one time, "Smokin 'Aces" became the best role of Ben Affleck – and the wonderful actor Bill Murray seems to have played a major role in a movie in Zombieland.

One of the remarkable finds of the movie – incessant banter over the "drama" of apocalyptic pictures with their disturbing music, tears and "warnings" about the future of humanity. "Zombieland" knows that when frisky zombies come and clear the roads from traffic jams, the world will only get better - ndash; honest and categorical.

The correct way to survive in our world: to be able to enjoy the little things and score on the zombies that surround us everywhere - this is what this "Zombieland" teaches us. And if they do, don't forget about other rules – be in shape and urine for sure.
