Terrence Howard was rejected in Iron Man 2 due to poor performance
Entertainment Weekly has revealed the mystery behind Terrence Howard's suspension from the sequel to Iron Man. According to the publication, Howard, who played the role of Tony Stark's friend, Colonel Rhodes, was the first to sign a contract to participate in the movieing of the first episode and thus turned out to be the highest paid actor on the set. His fee was even higher than that of Robert Downey Jr. Therefore, when it came to movieing a sequel, the management of Marvel Studios offered the actor an amount almost 80 percent less than what he received for the first movie.
