Universal Pictures has made changes to plans for the further development of its "Wolfman" franchise. According to the resource MovieHole, instead of the sequel to Joe Johnston's movie, which was planned to be released immediately on disc media, the movie studio intends to shoot another remake of the classic horror movie of 1941.

Michael Tabb will write the script for the project. The director of the movie, as well as the performers of the main roles, have not yet been appointed. The working title of the movie is "Werewolf".

Recall that Johnston's "Wolfman" was released in February 2010. The picture failed at the box office, having managed to earn only 139 million with a budget of 150 million. The movie stars Anthony Hopkins, Emily Blunt, Benicio Del Toro, Hugo Weaving.
