The Dark Knight Prologue 2 received a separate rating
The six-minute prologue of The Dark Knight Rises, which will air on IMAX theaters ahead of the premiere of Mission Impossible 4: Phantom Protocol, has received a separate rental rating. As reported in press release from Warner Bros. Pictures, the American Film Producers' Association gave the excerpt a PG-13 rating for its violent scenes. As a reminder, the fourth Mission: Impossible launches in IMAX on December 16, 2011, and the sequel to The Dark Knight will be released in July 2012.
