Review of the movie Twilight. Saga. Eclipse. Glass War and Dark Moon

The main vampire saga of our time makes a detour on the way to the denouement. Edward invites Bella to marry, and she doesn't want to lose Jacob's friendship. Their non-classical and not quite love triangle becomes even more multifaceted. Meanwhile, the vampire Victoria, burning with a thirst for revenge for her murdered lover, gathers an army of converts in Seattle - and attacks the Cullens. In the third part of the saga `` Twilight '' - " Eclipse " - finds an eclipse on Bella, and she reaches out to Jacob while the fangs of the fierce Victoria reach for her.

The change of the second director of the Twilight saga, in fact, did not change anything on the screen - "Twilight" still - sensually conversational tops with pleasant songs. Forks, where sensual passions unfold the majestic forest still surrounds, vampires are faster than ever, and werewolves are huge and fluffy. Edward is still old-fashioned and restrained against the backdrop of a burning desire to become first a woman, and then Bella's vampire. Jacob still does not have a shirt and with his forest brothers strives to flaunt a muscular torso.

Replacing Chris Weitz with David Slade in the director's post of the third part of Twilight due to the imposition of shooting schedules, but it looks absolutely logical. In the New Moon werewolf-wolves had to be introduced - and Weitz had already shown the class in handling the computer screen menagerie in The Golden Compass.

In Eclipse it was necessary to beautifully show the battle with the newly converted vampires - powerful and ferocious - and David Slade had already arranged a beautiful vampire feud in the polar horror movie `` 30 Days of Night. '' The third part of `` Twilight '' was supposed to be the toughest and most energetic episode in the entire saga - and David Slade and screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg (friend of Stephenie Meyer) did an excellent job.

The dynamics of the Eclipse driven by the most famous and beloved children's story - eternal opponents unite against a common enemy. To defeat the strong and blood-hungry newly converted vampires, the Cullen clan unites with werewolves - and the wolves, shoulder to shoulder, ghouls learn to drive blood-sucking youth into the rotting yellow foliage.

Toughness in Eclipse a lot - for the movie they show a lot of `` hits '', tear off the limbs; vampire heads fly only in this way - but every time the camera either shyly glides by, or an eclipse rapidly occurs in the frame, and the most interesting thing is not shown. It looks like the creators went too far for the soft rating - and the promised drive of the movie is largely killed by this: the fights in it are absolutely sterile. Only `` glass '' pleases the eye destruction of vampire bodies, done very effectively.

David Slade boldly uses the strong solutions of the first part of "Twilight" - a particularly vivid reminder came the scene in which Jasper teaches vampires to fight new converts. In style and manner of movieing, it is made exactly like the energetic vampire baseball under " Supermassive Black Hole " by Muse in the first episode. But emotionally, `` Eclipse '' came out stronger than the second part (but, of course, does not reach the first part). The doubts, suffering and torment of the heroes look more real and understandable here.

The fact is that in Eclipse in fact, the flaws of vampires appear. Previously, they looked like sparkling higher beings, as if specially created for idealization, and the plot of the third part made them feel their deathly weakness. Edward, perhaps for the first time in Eclipse looks alive - not a glass-eyed idol from a girl's dreams. He is not able to warm his beloved even when she chatters her teeth from the cold, and he suffers for two reasons at once - because he hurts Bella, and because of Bella's sympathy for Jacob. Jacob does not behave like a dog, but like a devoted lover and a man. Bella is very much afraid that Edward does not want to bite her, because after turning she will lose her smell and warmth.

However, the main trinity of actors, as before, play woodenly. The majestic forest surrounding the cities of Forks is more convincing in the frame. The find of the third part of the saga was Jodelle Ferland, who performed an impressive cameo of the newly converted girl Bree with a sad fate, and Xavier Samuel - the touching and dangerous convert Riley, puppet of the vampire Victoria.

Victoria herself is not what she is. earlier. Replacing Rachelle Lefebvre as the main evil of the caramel saga Bryce Dallas Howard did not go to Eclipse good: fiery-haired vampire Victoria - this was the role of Lefebvre. But the episodes with Victoria are exciting and beautiful, and her fight with Edward is by far the best action episode in the Twilight saga so far.

In Eclipse Lots of flashbacks designed to better introduce us to some of the minor characters. Jasper steps out of the shadows of the rest of the Cullen family and turns out to be very colorful and charismatic. His beautiful friend Alice, who shines in New Moon, on the other hand, goes somewhere in the shadows.

Ultimately 'Eclipse' turns out to be no better or worse than New Moon. The story develops, the halls are full, the box office delights the producers immensely - but in terms of emotional impact, both movies fade before the impressive start of the vampire saga - the original Twilight. possessing enormous penetrating power.
