Steven Spielberg, after much deliberation, chose a movie, which he will be staging in the near future. According to Variety, his next directorial project will be the adaptation of the novel War Horse by British writer Michael Morpurgh. The book, which takes place during the First World War, tells about the friendship of a boy and a horse, separated by war, but keeping in touch with each other. DreamWorks Pictures has set the premiere date of August 10, 2011. In addition to directing, Spielberg will also perform production duties.
