No sooner had Joaquin Phoenix returned from his self-imposed exile into the world of music, when he began to receive very tempting offers. According to NY Mag, one of them was made by Clint Eastwood, who is going to shoot a movie about FBI creator Edgar Hoover.

Eastwood invited Phoenix to play Clyde Tolson, Hoover's deputy from 1947 to 1972, his close friend and, according to some data, his beloved.

These suspicions arose during the life of the almighty head of the FBI, as friends not only worked, but always rested together. After Hoover's death, they strengthened even more, since Tolson not only received his friend's insurance, but also inherited his fortune and even settled in his house.

At the FBI head's funeral, it was Tolson who took the flag from the hands of the guard, and in he was later buried next to Hoover.
