James Cameron's movie about the bombing of Hiroshima will not take place

James Cameron's plans to movie The Last Train from Hiroshima, which tells about the atomic bombing of 1945, have been given up. According to Reuters, the publishing house Henry Holt and Company has stopped publishing the book by Charles Pellegrino and intends to recall the already sold copies, since the facts stated in this documentary work have not been confirmed.

In particular, it turned out that one of the heroes works, claiming that he was on the escort plane at the time the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, lied. The author was also unable to confirm the existence of another key character in his work.

The publisher apologized to readers who have already purchased the book, which went on sale in mid-January, and promised to return the money to everyone.

Cameron himself has not yet commented on the incident. He has previously used Pellegrino's work to create his movies, for example, while working on the painting Ghosts of the Titanic.
