Frankenstein will inspire the Olympics
Danny Boyle, director of the London Olympics, drew inspiration from Mary Shelley's classic Frankenstein. According to The Huffington Post, the director himself spoke about this in an interview with Vogue magazine. “Naturally, we’re not going to reanimate the dead in the arena, but we’re using some Frankenstein ideas,” he said. This topic is not new to Boyle, as he previously staged a play based on Shelley's work. It is noteworthy that earlier the organizers of the show argued that the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games will be based on Shakespeare's The Tempest.
