Special Edition Avatar will be 16 minutes longer
The director's cut of Avatar, which starts worldwide on August 27, 2010, will be a nearly three-hour commercial for the Special Edition of the movie, which will be released on Blu-ray in November. According to The Hollywood Reporter, if in the new theatrical version about nine minutes of additional episodes are added, then in the disc edition the timing of the picture will be increased by as much as 16 minutes. It is not yet specified which episodes the creators of the picture will offer to buyers of the discs.
