Steven Spielberg to movie pirates of the Caribbean
Steven Spielberg intends to make a movie based on the as-yet-unpublished novel by famed science fiction writer Michael Crichton, Pirate Latitudes. As USA Today clarifies, the novel takes place in 1665 off the coast of Jamaica. The main characters seek to sneak into Port Royal and kidnap a Spanish galleon full of treasures. The adaptation of the novel for the screen was entrusted to David Coepp, a longtime partner of Spielberg, with whom they worked on the adaptation of another famous Crichton's book, Jurassic Park; .
