Darren Aronofsky wants to make Russell Crowe Noah
Darren Aronofsky, who plans to movie a graphic novel dedicated to Noah, intends to offer the main role to Russell Crowe. This is reported by the resource Deadline with reference to its sources. Liam Neeson may play another key character, but no contracts have been signed yet. Note that initially the role of the biblical prophet and savior of all creatures on earth was supposed to be entrusted to Christian Bale, but he abandoned the project, and the next applicant was Michael Fassbender. The graphic novel was adapted for the screen by the screenwriter of Gladiator. John Logan, and, quite possibly, the idea to invite Crowe belongs to him. Filming should begin in spring 2012.
