The Museum of Natural History in New York is equipped with modern exhibits. Old acquaintances, coming to life at night and in full swing in the museum for the first movie, along with the security guard Larry (Ben Stiller), go to Washington to the Smithsonian Archives. When the odious Pharaoh Khamunra returns to life, dreaming of taking over the museum and the whole world, Larry has to put on the night watchman's uniform again ... 'Night at the Museum 2' continues to introduce the youngest viewers to the figures of American history and entertain everyone with amusing adventures with the participation of reviving museum exhibits.

If you go to `` Night at the Museum 2 '' as a comedy or, God forbid, an action movie – namely, such genres are designated for this movie on USA cinema sites – unfold or wrap on Kind of a tough guard '' at worst. The main problem with the continuation of Ben Stiller's nighttime museum adventures is precisely that the audience expects a strong comedic component from the movie - and ndash; cool jokes and gags, banter, – a 'Night at the Museum 2' actually a family adventure movie.

Good jokes in the movie are disappearing few – or most of the jokes in the movie are understandable only to preschool children. Quite a lot of childish life-affirming morality – about the fact that in life you need to do what you love and not lose courage. And there are a lot of colorful characters - `` exhibits '', actions and adventures: every now and then a variety of museum surroundings jumps, jumps, flies and runs on the screen.

The idea of unobtrusively acquainting children with the characters of American history, bringing them to life in a family movie, – a real discovery for pedagogy and elementary school. In an educational sense, `` Night at the Museum '' kills two birds with one stone: arouses interest in children in the `` revived '' historical figures and encourages to go to the museum to learn more about these figures.

So if you yourself don't know who Amalia Earhart, General Custer and Theodore Roosevelt are, take the kids to Museum Night 2: it will be interesting and useful for everyone ... The entertainment side of the movie is also all right: adding the charming Amalie Eckhart (Emmy Adams) to the night watchman Larry, the creators got an elegant pair of on-screen – hinting at a romantic line and providing the heroes with sharp turns on the plane in the aviation museum. The huge pink octopus, the thinker, the living statue of Lincoln bring out the bustle of the `` little ones '' characters in the halls of the museum to the inter-museum level – much more spectacular large-scale.

As for the jokes, there are only two or three really hilarious moments in the movie: an improved episode with monkeys, taken from the first series, and the appearance of a miniature hero on the `` most ferocious beast in district '' closer to the final. There is also a great parody of '300' Zach Snyder – a scene with a slow `` passage '' two Spartans, stabbing the Persians in a jump and with a turn with their swords. In these moments, even the most bored viewer cannot help but smile.

Overall, `` Night at the Museum 2 '' is a great smart family adventure movie. It may disappoint you if you were counting on comedy, habitually expecting from Ben Stiller hilarious antics and `` adults '' jokes. You need to go to this movie with children – He will give them joy and new knowledge of history, and he will not let you get bored by showing excellent `` chassis '' Emmy Adams in skin-tight jumpsuit and Spartan choreography by tiny Oates and Coogan. You look, then the whole family will want to go to the museum. if you were counting on comedy, habitually expecting from Ben Stiller hilarious antics and `` adults '' jokes.
