The first trailer of the movie The Dark Knight 2: The Legend Rises set a new record in the number of views. According to an official press release from Warner Bros. 12.5 million views were recorded on iTunes in 24 hours since launch. The previous record was held by the trailers of the movie The Avengers, which was released in October 2011. It was watched by about 10 million users of the service. The movie stars Tom Hardy, Christian Bale, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman, Marion Cotillard, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Matthew Modine and other actors.
