Review of the movie Meet the Fockers 2. The Godfather

Meet the Parents Movies and " Meet the Fockers " at one time they became real box office hits, and the second part is still considered one of the highest-grossing comedies in the history of the genre. Cleverly combining vulgar and vulgar jokes with some intangible atmosphere of family comfort and romance, reinforcing all this with an incredibly stellar cast, the creators of the dilogy (and now the trilogy) were able to create truly soulful comedies on the screen. From the third part, which our localizers called `` Meet the Fockers 2 '', expected at least the same. But since the director changed, this could not but affect the movie itself.

10 years, two children and countless trials, Greg needed so that the father-in-law - a former CIA agent with 35 years of experience, Jack Barnes, partially reconciled with his existence. When the entire family of Greg and Pam, including her former lover Kevin, gather for the twins' birthday, Greg will have to prove to the skeptical Jack that he is the real master of the house.

First, a few words about local humor. Despite the fact that the trailer and the commercial for the comedy hint at being watched by the whole family, it is better to remove children from the screens away, because a lot of local jokes and scenes are not at all intended for children's ears and eyes. The fact is that the humor itself of the third part of the story about the extraordinary parents of Greg Faker has become, for the most part, much rougher than the predecessor movies. Yes, this vulgarity is still everyday and for a mature viewer (who, for sure, This movie will be liked the most) will be quite familiar, some episodes lack a sense of proportion and taste and therefore cause more rejection than laughter.

In general, of course, the movie turned out to be very controversial. In addition to the overly tightened set-up (in which almost nothing happens) and some completely disgusting episodes (like the opening enema scene), the USA viewer will probably not understand many of the `` language '' jokes that our localizers could not adequately adapt. Throughout the first half of the movie, the audience sat in almost complete silence, which is very sad for a comedy.

The second half of the tape adds both in dynamics and as humor - the number of vulgar jokes decreases, and those that remain soften ... Plus, in the end, the movie starts to make sense for the sake of which such movies can and even should be watched by mature people (I think it is this age group that will like the movie most of all).

Separately, it is necessary to mention the cast, who made this movie so liberated, alive and (despite the vulgarity) kind. Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro are still good in a duet and when they first appear on the screen, a nostalgic smile appears on the face, as if you see friends you have not seen for a long time. Dustin Hoffman and Barbara Streisand were given much less screen time this time, but it was enough to once again enjoy the magnificent performance of these actors.

Owen Wilson continues to star in the role of Settled Down former lover Pam. The stunning Jessica Alba was somewhat lost against the background of such eminent actors, but she did well. The one whose presence seemed strange was Harvey Keitel. The meaning of his participation is completely incomprehensible: there are no memorable scenes with him, but absolutely any actor could play this character, because there is no zest in him.

Meeting the Fockers 2 is a good adult comedy, with a vulgar (and not quite even) humor and at the same time (quite unexpectedly) a warm atmosphere that lights up towards the end and gives a pleasant aftertaste after watching. Although, of course, she can hardly count on the laurels of the previous parts. This tape did not become the best in the trilogy and the plot in it is quite similar to the very first part, only multiplied by the actors of the sequel. Due to the unusual level of vulgar humor, many may not like the movie, but the touchingness of the second half of the movie and the general liveliness of what is happening redeem a lot. Actually, for the sake of the other half and the actors involved, it is worth seeing. But no children.
