David Cronenberg became a legionnaire
Creator of Flies, Vices for Export and `` Justified Cruelty '' director David Cronenberg has been awarded the Legion of Honor, France's highest state decoration. The ceremony took place in Toronto. On behalf of French President Nicolas Sarkozy, the award was presented to the director by the Ambassador of the French Republic to Canada. Accepting the award, Cronenberg said that he always considered France his second homeland and felt support in this country at the dawn of his career.
