According to the New Zealand edition of Stuff, in the province of Matamata, grandiose sets are being erected, which after the end of movieing will not be dismantled, as in the case of The Lord of the Rings.

It is alleged that the houses of hobbits are built in full accordance with New Zealand laws about housing construction.

In the future, tourists will be able to dine at the Zeleny Dragon tavern, where Thorin Oakenshield was waiting for Bilbo, and walk along the Baywater Bridge, which is for the movieing of The Lord of the Rings; was built of plastic stones, and for The Hobbit built from the real ones, and visit other memorable places.

Regional authorities are confident that the "capital" Hobbiton will become a national landmark that will attract thousands of tourists from abroad every year.
