The reaction to Walt Disney's acquisition of Marvel's assets was immediate. According to Variety, 20th Century Fox was quick to announce the resumption of work on the next episode of Fantastic Four. The reason to hurry up at 20th Century Fox is obvious: as long as the movieing of movies using Marvel characters continues, all contracts of this company with moviemakers remain in effect, which means that 20th Century Fox can profit from the distribution of these movies. Otherwise, all rights will pass to Walt Disney. Previously, FOX representatives claimed that a full restart of the Fantastic Four franchise is planned, and none of the creators of the first two movies will work on the third series.
