Rights to Terminator are up for sale
The current owner of the rights to the Terminator franchise - Pacificor hedge fund put up the rights to the full-length movie adaptation for sale. According to the resource, the cost of the package is at least half of the amount that the company paid in 2010 for Terminator, that is, about $ 15 million. The potential buyer was Lionsgate studio, which made the most favorable offer to the seller, however, the situation has changed dramatically in recent days, as an even larger amount was offered by independent producer Megan Ellison, who controls the studio Annapurna Films. The deal is expected to be concluded soon, and the project itself will be presented at the Cannes Film Festival .
