Now it is hard to believe that once, at the dawn of his career, Tim Burton, whose black humor and gothic visuals are now a trademark known to the whole world, painted flowers and animals for the Walt Disney studio. And this is how he started.

While studying at the California Institute of the Arts in the animation department, the promising artist received an offer to work for the largest producer of family cinematic entertainment and accepted it with joy. In 1981, the animated movie The Fox about the Hunting Dog was released, in the creation of which Burton was directly involved. The movie was not destined to gain the fame of other Disney blockbusters, but the main thing happened: Burton realized that he could not exist for long in the caramel country of Walt Disney.

And already in 1982 his first gothic creation came out - the animated cartoon `` Vincent '', which was followed with a short break by `` Frankenwinny '' and the famous Beetlejuice. It was after the success of the last movie that the big Hollywood bosses decided to entrust Burton with a serious budget and put him in the director's chair of Batman. The success of the movie, released in 1989, exceeded all expectations, but the director himself was dissatisfied with his own work, as he originally intended to make the movie darker, but was forced to retreat under the onslaught of the producers.

A year later, another significant event happened in Burton's Hollywood biography. He found his muse in the then not-so-famous Johnny Depp, inviting him to his next project, Edward Scissorhands. Now this tandem is absolutely inseparable and, despite the actual failure of their last joint brainchild - the musical Sweeney Todd, it can present many surprises to the audience, for example, to present a completely new look at the classic fairy tale by Lewis Carroll `` Alice in Wonderland. '' Depp is tipped to play the Hatter in this 2010 movie.
