Director's Cut of The Lord of the Rings due in June
Inspired by the success of the Blu-ray release of the theatrical version of The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Warner Home Video has announced a release date for the director's cut disc. According to the resource DVD Town, sales will start on June 28, 2011. The set will consist of 15 discs, on which, in addition to the movies themselves, 26 hours of additional materials will be presented, including documentaries about the movieing of the trilogy, interviews with her by participants and creators, scenes and special effects not included in the movies.
