Carrie Remake Premiere Date Announced
Screen Gems has announced the premiere date for a new adaptation of Stephen King's acclaimed work Carrie. According to the official press release, the movie will be released on March 15, 2013. The director of the movie will be Kimberly Pierce, who previously directed the movie Boys Don't Cry. It was previously stated that that the movie adaptation will have little in common with the famous movie by Brian De Palma in 1976, but more in line with the literary source. Recall that the plot of King's work of the same name was built around a girl named Cary White, who has supernatural powers. At home and at school, she was an outcast and the target of bullying, and one day the dormant power in her awakened.
