George Lucas will release updated Star Wars
All six movies in the Star Wars saga, which have undergone a full restoration process and equipped with modern special effects, will be released on Blu-ray in the fall of 2011. This statement was made at a press conference held to celebrate the anniversary of the fifth part, directed by George Lucas. According to him, the collector's edition will include not only the movies themselves, but many additional materials, in particular, interviews with participants projects, footage from the set, documentaries. But most importantly, fans of the saga will be able to see episodes that have never been shown before, not included in the movies and preserved only in Lucas's personal archive. This is, for example, a scene from Return of the Jedi, preceding the missions of C3-PO and R2-D2 in Jaba's lair. Viewers will see Luke Skywalker instruct in R2-D2's cave and place a newly acquired green lightsaber in one of its compartments. George Lucas demonstrated this episode at a press conference.
