Director Rob Cohen, who directed such famous action movies as Fast and Furious and X Three, intends to realize the most expensive project in the history of Korean cinema. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the budget for the movie, titled 1950 is estimated at $ 100 million.

Its plot will be based on the reports of the Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist of the New York Herald Tribune Margaret Higgins, who was on the front lines of the Korean War, and as part of the American army participated in the evacuation of 200 thousand people who were fleeing from the advancing North Korean and Chinese armies.

The project will be funded by CJ E & M Pictures and Grapevine Entertainment. The timing of work on it has not yet been approved.

Note, that in early 2010 it was reported that Cohen was ready to movie a sequel to X's Three. It was argued that Vin Diesel would have to face a USA oligarch who had taken possession of nuclear weapons. There is no new news about this picture yet.
