Aaron Eckhart will play the US President (Topic)

Aaron Eckhart will join Gerard Butler in The Fall of Olympus, directed by Antoine Fuqua. This is reported by the Variety edition.

Eckhart will play the US President, during whose reign the White House is attacked by terrorists. Butler will play the role of a former Secret Service officer tasked with rescuing the head of state.

Filming is due to begin in September 2012. The rental schedule has not yet been specified.

Recall that Eckhart starred in the movie The Dark Knight, in which he played Harvey Dent.
