Meryl Streep to star in fantasy drama (Topic)

Meryl Streep will play one of the main roles in the fantasy movie The Giver, based on the novel of the same name by writer Lois Lowry. This is reported by the publication Deadline.

The work is a dystopia. The action takes place in the distant future in a society in which violence and poverty do not exist. In the center of the plot is a young hero who gains access to memories of the past, and this changes his whole idea of reality.

Meryl Streep will play the head of the community in which the protagonist lives. Jeff Bridges is also to play in the movie. He is destined to play the role of a person who conveys his memories.

Filming will start in autumn 2013.
