Star Wars Stereo Premieres Canceled
Lucasmovie and new owner Walt Disney Pictures have scrapped plans to release stereoscopic versions of all Star Wars episodes already movieed. This is reported by the publication Deadline, citing its sources. It is alleged that the partners intend to fully focus on the creation of the seventh episode and not to dissipate forces and funds for conversion. Most likely, on adoption this decision was influenced by the not-so-impressive distribution of the 3D version of the first episode of the saga, presented to viewers in February 2012. Recall that the stereoscopic Star Wars: Episode 2 - Attack of the Clones; and Star Wars: Episode 3 - Revenge of the Sith were supposed to be released on September 20 and October 11, 2013 respectively.
