New Terminator series launched
Four years after Fox ended Terminator: Battle for the Future, Skydance Productions and Annapurna Pictures will team up to bring the iconic franchise back to television. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter. The producers overseeing the full-length reboot of the franchise, announced for release in 2015, have hired the writers of Thor. and X-Men: First Class Zach Stentz and Ashley Miller as writers and producers of the new Terminator series, which is set to overlap with a new feature-length project to relaunch the franchise. Events in the series will follow the storyline of Terminator. 1984 until one critical moment after which the story will go in a completely different direction from the movie. As the relaunched feature-length trilogy and series evolve, the two projects will intersect in the most amazing and dramatic ways. Megan Ellison, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Marcy Ross will take over as producers. They will be joined by Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier, who are tasked with writing the screenplay for the first movie in the trilogy.
