Elijes Gabel will play the genius hacker in the pilot of the drama Scorpio (Topic)

Elijes Gabel confirmed for the lead role in the pilot of the TV series Scorpio TV channel CBS. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

The plot of the series is based on the real life of Walter O'Brian (Elijes Gabel), an eccentric genius and his team of specialists who form the last line of defense against complex threats on the world wide web. Brian, who will play the role of producer on the TV project, is known by the hacker nickname Scorpion and is the president of the web portal ScorpionComputerServices. The show will talk about the life of O'Brian, about how he gathered and trained other brilliant specialists to act together to save lives and solve problems of any complexity - from protecting the casino database to national security issues.

In addition to Gabel, the show features Robert Patrick, who will play an FBI agent. Nick Santora and Nicholas Wootton (Lucky) will write and executive produce alongside Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Justin Leanne. The latter was appointed to direct the pilot episode.

On television, Elijs Gabel starred in such series as Catastrophe, Doctors, Game of Thrones, Body Investigation.
