Nakula Bessli Nakula, the author of the controversial movie The Innocence of Muslims, has been detained without bail. This is reported by CNN.

The arrest of Nakula is not directly related to the creation of the movie that caused the protests, he was detained for violating the conditions of early release.

In 2011, he was sentenced to prison for fraud , but was released ahead of schedule in the summer of 2012. Nakula was forbidden to use pseudonyms, as well as devices that have access to the Internet without the permission of the early release curator.

It was these prohibitions that were violated by the creator of Innocence of Muslims, who during the work on the project called himself Sam Basil and pretended to be an Israeli citizen.

The date for preliminary hearings in this case will be announced later. Until they begin, Nakula Bessli Nakula will be held in the Metropolitan Detention Center prison block separately from the rest of the prisoners.
