David Cronenberg was offered to movie Star Wars
LucasFilm offered David Cronenberg to direct the sixth episode of Star Wars. The director himself spoke about this in an interview with Digital Spy. “A long time ago, I was offered to movie another episode of Star Wars for one second. It was also called Jedi Revenge back then. Later it became known as Return of the Jedi. But then, apparently, someone in the LucasFilm studio decided that this was not a good idea, '' said Cronenberg. The director also stressed that he does not like to shoot large-budget movies, since in such cases the directors there is little room for creativity. As a reminder, LucasFilm, now owned by Walt Disney, intends to movie a new Star Wars trilogy.
