HBO and Martin Scorsese Prepare Isle of the Damned Prequel (Topic)

HBO and Paramount Television are in the early stages of development for Ashecliffe, which will be a prequel to Martin Scorsese's feature movie Isle of the Damned. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

In the center of the plot will be a secluded psychiatric hospital, familiar from a 2010 movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio. Events in the upcoming series will anticipate those in the movie. The drama will tell about the asylum's past and the atrocities committed by its founders.

In case the project gets the green light, Scorsese will movie a pilot episode. Isle of the Damned writer Dennis Lehane will co-write the screenplay with Tom Bernardo.
