Cable Channel Starz has commissioned the production of two seasons of the original comedy Blunt Speaks from producers Seth McFarlane and Jonathan Ames ("Mortally Bored"). The Hollywood Reporter reports this with reference to Starz.

The premiere of both seasons, each of ten episodes, is scheduled for 2015. The lead role in the series has been confirmed by Patrick Stewart, who will also take part in the production of the series. Ames, the author of the idea, will executive produce, write and showrunner for the series.

The series focuses on Briton Walter Blunt (Stewart), who came to the United States with the intention of conquering American cable news channels. On his late night show, Blunt tries to give Americans what he thinks wise advice about the right lifestyle, thoughts and behavior. Blunt's only supporter and support in his daily altercations with network bosses, inadequate employees, numerous wives and children of all ages – his alcoholic assistant, whom he brought with him from the UK.

The upcoming comedy is not the first collaboration between McFarlane and Stewart. The star of the sci-fi movie "X-Men: Days of Future Past" voiced Avery Bullock in the American Daddy animated series and several characters in the Family Guy series.
