True Detectives 2 Replenished Their Cast (Topic)

HBO is completing True Detectives season 2 cast for the first script read on Friday, October 31, 2014. According to Deadline, citing its sources, Kelly Reilly (Black Box) has signed a regular role on the show, while Michael Irby (Almost Human), Abigail Spencer (Force Majeure) and Leaven Rambin (" The Hunger Games ") are close to contracting for recurring roles.

Reilly and Spencer's names were on a short list of actresses invited to meet show creator Nick Pizzolatto for an audition for the female lead, which was eventually nominated to Rachel McAdams. But according to sources, even then Pizzolatto was eyeing the actresses from this list for other roles.

The plot of the second season of "True Detectives" will focus on three police officers, played by Colin Farrell, Taylor Kitsch and McAdams, and a professional criminal (Vince Vaughn), who together must solve the conspiracy after the murder.

Reilly will play a seasoned heroine named Morgan; Irby's character Elvis is supposed to partner with McAdams' heroine; Spencer will portray a sexually assaulted Alicia.
