20th Century Fox has set a new all-time record at the worldwide box office. According to an official press release, the studio's movies earned more than $ 5.5 billion in 2014. The previous record of $ 5.15 billion was recorded in 2011.

Outside of North America, the studio has reached $ 3.73 billion, which is $ 500 million more than the previous record. At home, 20th Century Fox's projects earned $ 1.79 billion, which is also the best achievement in studio history and the best performance for the year.

The main "locomotives" were such movies as "X-Men: Days of Future Past" ($ 748 million at the worldwide box office) and "Planet of the Apes: Revolution" ($ 709 million at the world box office).

The studio's eight movies have grossed over $ 100 million at home. Among them are "Gone Girl", "The Maze Runner", "The Fault in the Stars" and others. Thirteen movie projects by 20th Century Fox have earned more than $ 100 million in international box office, two of them - the already mentioned sequels to "X-Men" and "Planet of the Apes" - more than five hundred million dollars.
