NBC suspends production of Konstantin

NBC has suspended production of the new DC Comics series "Constantine" after thirteen episodes. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series is being renewed by executive producer David S. Goyer and Warner Bros. Television for the second season remains a topic of discussion.

The network plans to air all thirteen episodes of the first season of "Constantine" on Fridays at 10:00 pm, and then replace it with either "Hannibal" or one of the new dramas in broadcast after Grimm.

NBC has been trying to find a companion for the mystical drama Grimm throughout its past seasons. Among those shows were canceled after the first seasons of Dracula and Skull and Bones.

Constantine attracts a total of 4.5 million TV viewers per week from the screens, of which 1.4 million belong to the age group from 18 to 49 years old. By comparison, Grimm's figures are 6.3 and 1.8 million, respectively.

This season, NBC has ordered an additional nine episodes of Laura's Mysteries starring Debra Messing and several episodes for the Comedy Comedy for me "with Casey Wilson and Ken Marino. New comedies "From 'A' to 'Z'" and Bad Judge will complete their first seasons of thirteen episodes before being removed from the schedule.
