Chris Evans has joined the list of famous Hollywood actors who have fulfilled the cherished wishes of children struggling with serious illnesses.

As reported on the website of the CBS Boston television channel, the performer of the role of Captain America visited nine-year-old Kenny Botting at the Boston rehabilitation center, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Being a big fan of Captain America, the boy dreamed of meeting his hero in reality. Chris Evans spent several hours with his young fan and his loved ones, handed out souvenirs and autographs.

"Their power empowers me and people like me. If there is a chance to make them smile, say words of encouragement, inspire them, it's worth it," commented Evans. After visiting the rehabilitation center, the actor took part in a charity event to raise funds for him.

Recall that earlier other performers of the roles of superheroes took part in similar actions. So, in 2012, the performer of the role of Batman, Christian Bale, organized a meeting with his young admirer, who was also undergoing intensive therapy. It was alleged that shortly after the visit, the boy's illness entered a stage of stable remission.

Chris Evans will reappear as Captain America in May 2015 with the release of Avengers 2: Age of Ultron.
