Jessica Chastain was invited to play Tarzan (Topic)

Jessica Chastain may play the role of Jane in the new adaptation of Tarzan. According to the NY Post, the Academy Award nominee is the first and so far the only choice of director David Yates.

No contracts have been signed yet, the parties are in preliminary negotiations. Previously, it was also stated that the main role could be played by Alexander Skarsgard.

Stuart Beatty and Stephen Sommers are adapting the work of Edgar Burroughs. The terms of work on the project have not yet been specified.
