Murder on the Beach sequel will be released in January 2015 (Topic)

UK's ITV has announced that the second season of Murder on the Beach, starring David Tennant and Olivia Coleman as in the first season, will be released in January 2015. This is reported by the publication Deadline.

Recall that in the first season of the series, BAFTA award winner, detectives Alec Hardy (Tennant) and Ellie Miller (Coleman) investigated the murder of schoolboy Danny Latimer, which occurred in the town of Broadchurch. At the time of this writing, Fox is broadcasting an American remake of the series, Gracepoint, in which Tennant reprises his role, changing his Scottish accent to American and changing his name from Alec Hardy to Emmett Carver. Tennant's partner at Gracepoint is Anna Gunn. Many elements of the original series remain unchanged, with the exception of the town, which is on the California coast in the remake. The creators of the remake promise that the ending will be different from that shown in the original drama.

In the second season of Murder on the Beach, which began movieing in the UK in May, Tennant, Coleman, Jodie Whittaker, Andrew Bachan and Arthur Darville will return to their previous images, and among the newcomers who have joined the TV project are Charlotte Rampling, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Yves Miles and James D'Arcy. The plot details of the second season, which was written by Chris Chibnell, are kept strictly secret. We only know that the story will begin where the first season ended.
