Lionsgate has filed a lawsuit in federal court in California against several individuals identified in the documents as John Doe, accusing them of illegally distributing a copy of The Expendables 3. This is reported by The Holyywood Reporter. File-sharing operators limetorrents.com, billionuploads.com, hulfile.eu, played.to, swantshare.com and dotsemper.com are also named as Respondents. According to representatives of the studio, demands were sent to their management to stop distributing the pirated copy of the movie, but they remained unanswered. At the time of this writing, a high-quality version of The Expendables 3; has been downloaded over a million times online. Amount of compensation, which the studio claims has not yet been specified.
