Amazon Studios to movie Civil War drama pilot
Amazon Studios is ready to begin production of the pilot for Point of Honor, a Civil War drama written by Carlton Cuse (Lost) and directed by Randall Wallace (Champion). This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter. The project, which was originally developed for ABC by ABC Studios in 2011, will tell the story of a Virginia family divided by the Civil War. Executive Producers will be Cuse and Barry Jossen. Point of Honor is slated to join other Amazon pilots later this year. Among them – drama "Cosmopolitan" by Whit Stillman and "Hand of God" starring Ron Perlman. In case of ordering a full season, Cuse will have at least four series, including Bates Motel, upcoming The Strain, and The Returned.
