The owners of Sony Pictures, a movie studio going through hard times, are actively looking for a new leader who should replace the retired Michael Linton. According to The Hollywood Reporter, citing sources at Sony, the head of the Warner Bros. studio is considered the most preferred candidate. Kevin Tsujihara.

The situation is complicated by the fact that the latter is still under contract with his studio. Sources clarify that Tsujihara's candidacy is so attractive to Sony also because, in addition to moviemaking, he also has experience in the gaming industry, which is especially important given Sony's intention to create its own unique content for the PlayStation series of consoles. Naturally, Sony's management is impressed by the fact that Tsujihara's ancestors are Japanese.

As a reminder, Time Warner's parent company, which owns Warner Bros., was sold to AT & T in 2016. The position of the new owners on possible reforms at the time of this writing has not yet been announced, however, experts believe that they may want to change the heads of all departments. Therefore, in the near future, Tsujihara will be on the labor market and Soni Pictures' offer will be very useful.
