Ray Winston to play King Saul
Popular British actor Ray Winston ("Beowulf") has been confirmed for one of the main roles in the pilot of the ABC biblical drama "Kings and Prophets". This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter. The project, produced by ABC Studios, is described as an epic saga of faith, vanity and betrayal through the eyes of a war-tired king, a powerful and touchy prophet and resourceful young shepherd. Winston will play King Saul, the first ruler of the kingdom of Israel, hot-tempered and obsessed with paranoia, which today would certainly be recognized as bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress.
