Chinese studio Bona Film Group is investing $ 235 million in promising movie projects for Hollywood movie studio 20th Century Fox. This is reported by the Variety edition.

The agreement signed by the parties will allow Chinese partners to take part in the creation of six large-budget movies. The first of them was the fantastic movie "The Martian", created by director Ridley Scott. It will be released in China on November 25, 2015 and, thanks to the extremely positive image of the Chinese space program, will certainly enjoy the support of both viewers and local officials.

Other movies made with the participation of Chinese investors are likely to be "X-Men: Apocalypse", "Planet of the Apes: War", "House of Peculiar Children" and "Independence Day 2." "We are excited about the prospects for our participation in the creation of promising Hollywood movies and the opportunity to showcase high-quality foreign movie products to home audiences," said Don Y, head of the Bona Film Group studio, in a statement.

It is emphasized that the agreement does not imply the participation of Chinese partners in the distribution of FOX movies, they will only claim a part of the profits from the distribution.
