Filming for Top of the Lake Season 2 Announced
Top of the Lake mini-series star Elisabeth Moss has confirmed that movieing for the highly anticipated second season of the drama will begin in March this year. “I've already read three scripts and I really love where Jane took the story and my character,” the 2014 Golden Globe winner said during the Sundance Film Festival. Her words are quoted by Deadline. Moss will return to the role of detective Robin Griffin in the series created by Jane Campion ("The Piano") and Gerard Lee ("My Lady"). The actress has received an award from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and has been nominated for eight Emmy nominations. Started work on a second season, which will air on SundanceTV and Hulu in the US and BBC2 in the UK in 2016 year, was announced in the fall of 2014. Campion will again be the director and co-writer of the series. The series will be movieed in Sydney, Australia. The drama will be produced by See-Saw Films, and Ein Canning and Emil Sherman will return to their executive producer duties. Moss presented The Free World at Sundance 2016.
