Chris Pine and three other actors will go to summer camp
Four more popular actors – Chris Pine, John Hamm, Kristen Wiig and Jason Schwartzman – have joined the already stellar cast of the limited-episode Netflix streaming service "Wet Hot American Summer". According to The Wrap, the actors have been approved for guest and recurring roles. The upcoming eight-part television project is a prequel to the 2001 Hot American Summer feature movie of the same name. The series features original cast members: Bradley Cooper, Janine Garofalo, Paul Rudd, Amy Poehler, Elizabeth Banks, Christopher Meloni and David Hyde Pierce. If in a full-length movie the action took place on the last day of stay in a Jewish summer camp in 1981, in the series the events unfold on the first day. Hamm is supposed to play the spy, Wiig – counselor from the opposing camp "Tiger Claw", and as for Pine, he got the role of "mysterious" character. The original movie's screenwriters Michael Showalter and David Wayne will lead the series. Showalter will be the showrunner, and Wayne will be the showrunner; director.
